Whenever an angel comes to me, I refuse to grant it an audience because if God wants to talk to me, God should do so in person. I don't cotton to this idea of some celestial mouthpiece doing the talking for the Big Guy.
All of which is a lie, of course. I will take whatever signs or omens or portents that come my way, so desperate am I to find meaning. Sad, really.
Plus, I missed midnight mass. Damn.

phil - well, no - they're ooooold. It's just that I only wear glasses to see things like roads, cinema screens, writing on whiteboards, musicals and priests. Otherwise I'm blissfully glasses-less.
