I guess it's a matter of confidence. Ot's the same for men as well as women, what people respond to is less how someone looks and more the confidence they exude.
But I know that doesn't make it suck and less when men whistle and pay attention to an obnoxious clothes hanger with no personality.
M: I can't leave this alone. You really don't think that confidence plays a large part? Or is that only with women who date arseholes? I'm not seeing the difference. Maybe I should email you to argue instead.
It's amazing to see this roll out before your very eyes. I like to observe men at bars sometimes - I speak to lovely, charismatic girls in the bathrooms at bars, and get snubbed by the "clothes hangers" if I attempt to make conversation. But it's always the "clothes hangers" that the men are desperate to buy a drink for! Bah!

You're amazing, I'd never ignore you. If you were mine, you'd never be ignored again.

Awwww... :-(
Being noticed can be tough without a lot of self-promotion, I suppose. I tend to strive for anonymity, myself.
But anonymous has a good point: you are amazing. Anyone who can't see that doesn't deserve you.

T - that's cause you're one in a million hon.
saru - I hate self promotion.
shaf - hehe, nahhhh, no secret admirers for me.
jay - no, I don't really believe that confidence crap. It is true to a certain extent, but bottom line men always go for the obvious cliche.

no, confidence plays *a* part. A bigger part is played by men being "visual creatures" or so we keep being told.
