I'd say your take on $$ is the healthier one. Yours will probably engineer better happiness.
On the other hand, his is much more likely to engineer actual dollars
But point 2: does fiscally different necessarily mean imcompatible? I could go either way on that one, and I suspect that the answer would always have to be contextual
